Tier 3 Update

As I am sure you are all more than aware, the county has been moved into Tier 3. This does have some implications for the aquatic disciplines that we currently operate as Northallerton Amateur Swimming Club

Please ensure that your Risk Awareness Declaration and Health Screening Survey are completed online at https://membership.myswimmingclub.uk/nore/covid at your earliest convenience. Our risk assessments remain unchanged. All documentation is available on the club website https://main.nasc.co.uk/docs/

Bedale Sharks SC sessions for January will continue to operate under the existing framework, risk assessment, timetable and COVID-19 arrangements. From 1st February 2020 all policies will be aligned to Northallerton SC.

Swimming Training (including Bedale Transition members)

Simply put, no indoor Club training can take place for members aged 18 years and over. Effective 30th December 2020 all participants aged over 18 (who are not in Y13) must not attend training sessions.

For those over the age of 18 you may wish to sign up to the Swim England website to access training plans to complete in your own time https://www.swimming.org/members/swim-england-member-area/

Should you wish to read the information from the governing body in your own time please see the below link https://www.swimming.org/swimengland/pool-return-guidance-documents/

Should you have any questions please contact the main club email address nasc@nasc.co.uk

Swimming Competitions

No external competitions can be held. Level X competitions for club members who are not aged 18 or over can continue in Tier 3. Bookings are still available for the 9th January 2020 (£10 entry fee)

https://membership.myswimmingclub.uk/nore/timetable/booking/book?session=300615&date=2021-01-09

All members attending the Level X competition must come with a face covering. Instructions of poolside marshalls and coaches must be followed at all times (in a timely manner) to ensure the safe running of the competition.

Swimmers will be allocated a specific space on the poolside to spectate, rest and keep their belongings throughout the competition. This will be allocated based on training squad/lanes to keep everything as COVID-19 secure as possible. When swimmers are not in the pool the expectation is that face coverings are worn throughout.

Should you have any questions please contact the main club email address nasc@nasc.co.uk

Water Polo (for Bedale Transition members)

The same as swimming training, no indoor Club training can take place for members aged 18 years and over. Effective 30th December 2020 all participants aged over 18 (who are not in Y13) must not attend training sessions.

Existing water polo sessions will continue as normal on a Tuesday evening at Bedale Leisure Centre.

Fees for 2021

Further to the email sent on Sunday 6 December 2020…

Attached to this email is a letter about fees for the 2021 period. These were agreed at the AGM on 24th November 2020. The NASC committee are pleased to confirm that at this stage there is no increase to monthly squad fees (a small change in the structure of these noted in the letter). Having sought expert advice on how best to ensure the clubs financial stability in 2021, there will be a COVID-19 gap payment which is detailed in the letter.

If you have any amendments to your personal information please complete these changes online at https://membership.nasc.co.uk/

We would also ask you to complete this short membership survey https://forms.gle/c6oFnpBs8fSKh1Yx9

Should anyone face significant financial hardship and be unable to make any payments, we ask that you get in touch in the strictest confidence with the club’s treasurer using finance@nasc.co.uk
