We are working through creating the rota for September 2020. Please can you get in touch by responding to this email if you are able to support sessions with volunteering some of your time.
We are anticipating an update to Swim England guidance within the next 2/3 weeks which may well lead to some changes to the way in which sessions run. As soon as we know more information we will ensure a club update is circulated.
The roles of these volunteers are to monitor social distancing and/or sign swimmers in for the session. This has been working well over the past few weeks and thank you to all who have come forward to undertake such roles. These roles are detailed on https://main.nasc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Volunteering-Team-One-Sider.pdf
We are in the interesting position of more volunteers coming forward to enable them to watch their swimmers participate in training – something that as a club committee we have discussed at our committee meeting on Thursday evening, and feel we need to support as much as possible to allow more to come forward. We are going to be working like this for a prolonged period of time! Members of the committee will be speaking to parents who are volunteering and are planning on to try and balance out the roles further to allow more people to come and watch their children swim. This should result in people not being turned away from training sessions when they are prepared to give up their time.
To sign up to the rota please speak to a member of the committee or email the general club email firstname.lastname@example.org we will allocate people as fairly as possible. Unfortunately there may be situations where we are unable to allocate everyone to when they are available. Please check the rota before attending to ensure that you have been placed on the rota, unfortunately if you are not on the rota we will not be able to facilitate you at a training session..
Please could we finally remind all volunteers that social distancing must be observed at all times.
