Joy as swimmers return to the pool

Young swimmers in Northallerton will dive back into action tomorrow ( 25th July) as pools reopen across the country. Youngsters from Northallerton Amateur Swimming Club have been waiting patiently since pools were closed in March due to the Coronavirus lockdown. Dear All, NASC are excited at the prospect of reopening the club to its members. You will have all seen, I am sure, the broadcasted date of Saturday 25th July. Senior Squad Dry side Training Sessions for Senior Squad will run on a Monday, Friday and Sunday at the following times… 6pm to 7pm Boys 7pm to 8pm Girls We have split the groups to ensure we can meet the number based guidance. Following discussions this evening we have had to review advice released this evening from Swim England; “Having further reviewed the guidance, it is Swim England’s interpretation that club activity falls into the ‘public gathering’ category and therefore it is strongly advising clubs to consider cancelling or postponing activity – including events – until the end of May.” https://www.swimming.org/swimengland/coronavirus-statement/ We have informed the centre this evening that we will not be training for the rest of this week pending this guidance and are awaiting their response.
